The nearby Moses Lake complex, an artificial lake formed by the damming of a nearby river, is the biggest tourist attraction in the area, with 180+ miles of shoreline and dozens of seap lakes (with their prime fishing) in a ten-mile radius. Moses Lake is something of a sportsman’s and recreational paradise. Papa’s Sports Lounge & Casino is a hybrid of a sports bar and a slot parlor that mostly serves the semi-rural population in this sparsely populated but beautiful area of the state.

The “casino” in Papa’s Sports Lounge is really just a small collection of slot and video poker games that are designed to follow strict Washington gambling laws. These are similar to standard slots and video poker titles but the rules (and pay tables) are altered to make them essentially zero-sum games. The feature at Papa’s isn’t really the small casino area, but Papa’s Sports Lounge itself.

Open from 10 AM to 2 AM most days of the year, Papa’s Sports Lounge is exactly what the name implies. It’s a sports bar that serves your typical American bar food and shows sports all day every day on giant TVs. It’s a cool sports bar with great drink and food specials depending on the time of year and what day of the week it is, but that’s really all it is. That small casino space attached is laughable even by Washington standards.
